Organic Red Tea

This wonderful red tea sampler includes one oz (loose leaf) each of four different Organic Red Teas of Africa. This is a great way to try these special teas. They are all USDA Certified Organic and caffeine free.

Jamaica Red Bush Tea: Our Jamaica Red Bush Tea is a blend of Organic Jamaica Flowers with Organic Rooibos (red tea) and Organic Honey Bush. The Jamaica flowers are hand picked from a variety of hibiscus when the flowers of this shrubby plant become plump and juicy red. Jamaica Flowers are known to have a high Vitamin C content and other beneficial health properties. The tart and deep flavor of Jamaica Flowers blends well with the refreshing and healthful nature of Red Bush Rooibos and Honey bush. This blend has a deep red infusion with a strong and fruity body that finishes with complex notes of mango, passion fruit and rare island spices. Great hot or iced.

Honey Bush Tea: This naturally sweet, mellow and deep red herbal "Tea" is not made from tea leaves but from an herb that has been cultivated by the indigenous people of South Africa for hundreds of years. Our Organic Honey bush has many of the same health benefits attributed to Rooibos (red tea). Honey Bush makes a superb iced tea or a soothing and delicious hot botanical infusion. Organic Honey bush exhibits a full-bodied, red infusion with a woody, earthy and mineral-rich flavor. The aroma and smooth, sweet finish is one of a kind.

Rooibos (Red Tea): Native to the mountains of South Africa, Rooibos is prized for its great flavor and health beneficial anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins. Rooibos is also known as Red Bush and has a deep, dark red infusion with a full body and sweet finishing flavor. Recent research also shows that it contains the highest known levels of anti-aging properties of any plant on earth. It tastes great hot or iced.

Green RooibosTea: African Green Rooibos (Green Bush) is made with the same plant as the famous African Rooibos or Red Bush Tea. After harvesting, Green Rooibos Tea is not oxidized like Red Bush Tea. The leaves and stems remain green and the infusion has a bright orange color with a unique earthy flavor and a sweet finish. Green Rooibos Tea is lighter bodied than Red Bush and is said to contain high concentrations of anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals. It tastes great hot or iced.

For all teas, use 1 Tablespoons per 16 oz pot.
Use Boiling (212ºF.) water.
Steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
